Floyd FC delivers food boxes to residents

On Jan. 6, members of the the Floyd County Fiscal Court and new Floyd County School Board member Steve Slone, delivered a number of food boxes to needy families in the Martin, Maytown and Eastern parts of the county. According to Judge-Executive Robbie Williams, the fiscal court feels a great necessity to help serve and provide for the community, during these “difficult times.” Williams said that there are a number of individuals and families that are going without and the court just wants to “help our neighbors as much as possible.” The approximately 20 food boxes which were delivered, according to Williams, will help feed families for around a couple of weeks. Williams added that he wanted to thank the fiscal court and its workers for helping provide these services. Williams also wanted to remind individuals to remain safe and to take “extra precautions” as COVID-19 continues throughout Floyd County.
