Recently, the park located in Minnie received what Floyd Judge-Executive Robbie Williams said was a "nice facelift." According to Williams, the Floyd Fiscal Court is in the process of upgrading each of its county parks, due to the increase in park usage since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Williams said that, with an increase in usage, it's important to get all the parks throughout the county in better shape. The Minnie Park received a fresh paint job on its dugouts, buildings, awnings, tables and poles. Williams said that the blacktop was also sealed, the stage was stained and that Magistrate Mike Tackett and his crew did a great job cleaning up weeds and brush surrounding the track area.
